So, the reason there aren’t many reviews is likely due to people choosing to invest in authors/publishers who do not employ the smarmy tactic of cutting full length stories in half simply to make listeners pay twice as much, And now I’ve been a willing victim of the newest bait ‘n switch scheme: The “insert another credit” cliffhanger after only a half credit worth of content has been delivered. Another greedy author selling out to Amazon by churning out half books for full credits.” I should have thought to check the length of book 2 when seeing book 1 was so short., But I didn’t. Immediately, my thoughts went from, “What a great series!” to, “Ugh. That said… I just went to purchase the second book to find it is only 4 hours, 56 minutes long. And cliffhangers are great in a series - I like them. Before I reveal the answer, I should first acknowledge that I made the choice to purchase a 5 hour audiobook, so I wasn’t misled. I was curious why this series had so few reviews when it is actually really good.
